IYKYK SORRY pics are when almost done with eating...always can't wait to grindz when we get here! This is our first refresh of this place in literally 5 years! Is was well worth the wait!! ONO ONO ONO did I mention it's ONO!! Come say Hi to Auntie Chen tell her we sent you!!
It's not just food - it's people! After having an amazing dinner at this place, I dropped our passports on the seat next to me. That evening both my husband and I received a message on Facebook messenger from owners telling us that they have my passport and will meet us wherever and whenever it's convenient for us!!! Owner's son met us at 6:30 am to return our passports! I am beyond grateful for these wonderful people who saved us unimaginable trouble at the border! Thank you
I've been here several times with no complaints. My Hawaiian friend highly recommended the food here. Today I enjoyed the mochiko chicken as it is was moist chicken and a crispy light coating. Other local places overdo the batter and oil. One hour later at home it was still crunchy. Large bowl of Saimin soup with wonton was flavorful and not salty. Also had noodles with sweet tender pieces of kalbi beef. I'm not a big fan of fried noodles but it was good.
Ordered the oxtail and musubi, been here a few times. The food is enough to satisfy my hawaiian food craving. Good size portion will fill you up. The meat in the oxtail varies in size sometimes you get a bunch of big pieces sometimes a lot of small pieces. It comes with noodles or rice and a side of soy and ginger sauce. The broth is really good highly recommend it specially when it's cold out.
Delicious food, great price. Person that served us gave great service. The ceiling decoration is very pretty. The restaurant is cozier than it looks from the outside. I appreciate that the drinks aren't too expensive. I'm told it's similar prices to Hawaii. Definitely a good local spot. Food came out quick both times I visited.
This place is awesome! They have a wide selection of Hawaiian plates lunches. The mini is plenty for 1 to 2 meals and the regular size is enough for 3. We tried garlic shrimp, Hawaiian BBQ mix and chicken cutlet and gravy. All was good, but the BBQ was a standout. Mac salad was great and lover option for broccoli. Prices are so reasonable for what you get. Staff was also so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend. Clean and tidy.
It was like coming to your grandma's home. she made all your favorites. the musubi was delightful!
